bridgeclimb new operations facility - sydney

Overview:

BridgeClimb Sydney are one of Australia's top visitor attraction operators. Over 150,000 customers climb the Bridge annually. As Principal Contractor we were engaged to design and project manage the new public operations facility in The Rocks. The facility provides a significant increase in climb operations' capacity, new retail, café and heritage display gallery.

New Base:

Located in two of the original vaulted arch spaces this project involved working within significant heritage constraints, designing a truly hybrid public facility, custom designing most of the processing / climb testing apparatus and then building within tight time and budget constraints.

For us it was a project that spanned 4 years of planning and 2 years of execution.

We delivered on time and on budget, which was largely due to a close collaborative relationship between HPA and the BridgeClimb team.

Museum / Exhibition:

The BridgeClimb Museum Gallery is the story of the Bridge from start to completion focusing on the workers, the engineering feat and the Bridge as an international icon.

The Gallery is located on the Ground Level of the BridgeClimb operation. It features a high-end cinema seating 45 people. Two custom short films were produced by HPA for the cinema. The productions included custom shooting of the New Years Eve pyrotechnic display shot in H.D from four locations and aerial from helicopter.

It's free for the public and a grand addition to the BridgeClimb stable of unique international standard quality visitor experiences.
